Our first official tour is now concluded in it’s entirety and we are back at home with our loved ones and those everyday responsibilities we were all missing so much :) It is safe to say it was a success, with more than 8 shows behind us, and we are happy to report that we made a number of awesome new friends along the way. We would like to send out a special thanks to those who were kind enough to put us up for the night, not to ignore the kindness of those who volunteered to put up with us for an evening of music :O We’ll be resting up shortly before this upcoming weekend of shows, including Oct 3rd at the Ash Street Saloon, but keep your ear to the ground for information on upcoming news and show information. Thank you all for your love and support, hope to be seeing you soon.

Hey there, BAWF aficionados! We are three shows into our tour and having a great time. From our relaxed acoustic show at The Space in Salem, Oregon to our 2-hour full electric set at the West Street Market in Reno, Nevada, we are seeing a lot of people hearing BAWF for the first time and really digging it.

After a kickin’ set last night at Viento y Agua in Long Beach (and a delicious pizza dinner), we drove to Costa Mesa to stay with our good friends The New Limb. We had a fun night of singing and jamming together at their house.

We have the day off today, so we are each up to our own thing. Alex is out to lunch with his grandparents, Evan and Alia are longboarding it up, and Dan and I are hangin’ at the house, playing guitars and writing witty and informative blog posts.

It has been really fun to play our music for so many new people. The response we have gotten so far has been very positive, and we hope it will continue to be so as we head down to San Diego (which, as we all know, is Spanish for “San Diego”) for our next show.

Thanks again to The New Limb for hosting us here, check them out if you get the chance. They play a very likable sort of music.

Well people, we are almost there. On a more personal note I’m almost there. Being done with tracking for the new album that is! We’ve been listening to rough mixes for the past week and we will hopefully be done and on to mastering after the weekend, wahoo! Am I right? It has been a long process but I think we will have something we can really be proud of when all is said and done.

On a less awesome note, our show this Friday at Captain’s has been cancelled :( Our next full band show in the Portland area will be at Twighlight Cafe & Bar in May, with a few acoustic sets between here and then. Check out our Upcoming Shows for more info.

Just a friendly reminder to our website fans out there, we also have a number of other portals through which you can enjoy and show your support for the enigmatic BAWF. These include Myspace, Facebook, YouTube, Reverb Nation, Last.fm, Tunecore, and newly, Twitter. Check ‘em out!

As long as you’re rockin’, we are too.

XOXO,

We had a great time playing in at the Red Hare in Astoria this past weekend, and we’re all looking forward to going back on April 25th with the (yet untitled) new album in hand. Red Hare owner Scott Docherty was nice enough to post a handful photos from our Feb. 20th performance at Flickr. Check them out with full links below:

Scott was also kind enough to record the entire performance, so we’ll hopefully have audio for you all sometime in the future. Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you this Friday at Slim’s in St. John’s (Portland!) this Friday, Feb. 27th at 9:30pm. No cover, 21+. Cheers!

Hello eveyone and welcome to our not-so-new-looking-almost-identical website! Upgrades which have been and continue to be in progress have been largely background updates which should make it easier for us to deliver to you anything Break As We Fall that you desire.

Something you may notice is that our upcoming shows are now divided into two sections, Full Band – Electric and Full Band – Acoustic. These are not necessarily strict divisions so much as a loose guide as to how the music might be presented at the show. For example, if we feel like rocking the house at Bombs Away Cafe, such as on January 30th, it will likely be catalogued in the “electric” tour. On the other hand if we are going to bring it down a notch with some acoustic guitars, maybe swap the drum kit for a djembe, and drop some cool jazz on you at Strega Restaurant & Bar, say on February 28th, it will in all likelihood be in the “acoustic” regardless of whether we are actually electrified or not. Think of the acoustic shows as sort of “BAWF – Unplugged”. Also, it probably wouldn’t be a terrible idea to bring some earplugs to one of the “electric” shows if you are sensitive about your ears.

We have also added some additional content capabilities, notably our videos section. We have been compiling a number of videos of our live performances along with our music video by Blake Heiss on our Youtube channel and we now have a way to share that with you on the site.

You may notice that we don’t have quite as much music at the moment as we did but that will soon be rectified. For now visit either our Myspace page or our Facebook page (no login required) and check it out.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming shows!
