Masters Blastin’

Just a quick note tonight. We got the masters late last week and they are in at duplication. Today we uploaded some of the new tracks to our myspace page for your enjoyment and they should be up on the website soon. Our first release show with CD’s in hand is on May 7th at the Twighlight Cafe & Bar with Norman and Tullis ($3) so Portland people look out! This is our second CD and first full-length release entitled “If You’re Lonely” so keep an ear out for us.

Support BAWF tonight in Eugene at Last Band Standing!

Just wanted to remind you that we are playing at Rock ‘n’ Rodeo in Eugene tonight night at 8pm as part of Land Band Standing, hosted by KNRQ New Rock. The show is free and all ages! LBS is a battle ‘o the bands style competition where the winning band gets to record at a pro studio and wins  $12,700 of tour-ready prizes. Winning this would make it much easier for us to go on a West-Coast tour this summer, which we were already starting to plan.  Some info on the competition is available at KNRQ’s site (though the page has yet to be updated for tonight’s show there).

One thing you should know is that everyone has to turn in their own ticket for your vote to count. You can’t give it to a friend to hand in for you. So make sure to stick around for all four bands…it should be a great night of music all around. Hope to see you tonight!

Thanks for the support!

Free weekend show at OSU: Pre-Exam Jam 5!

We had the pleasure of playing at the first Pre-Exam Jam last year, and we’re back for a reprise this Friday night at OSU’s Club Escape. It will be a fun all-ages show that anyone can attend for FREE. Big props to the Oregon State Musician’s Guild for putting this great event on every term!

The lineup is as follows:

Here’s some other links for you to remember the show through:

On a personal note, it will be fun for me (Alex) to share a show with Left Foot Forward. They were a group even 5+ years ago back at our highschool. Rock on everyone!

Through The Looking Glass

Well people, we are almost there. On a more personal note I’m almost there. Being done with tracking for the new album that is! We’ve been listening to rough mixes for the past week and we will hopefully be done and on to mastering after the weekend, wahoo! Am I right? It has been a long process but I think we will have something we can really be proud of when all is said and done.

On a less awesome note, our show this Friday at Captain’s has been cancelled :( Our next full band show in the Portland area will be at Twighlight Cafe & Bar in May, with a few acoustic sets between here and then. Check out our Upcoming Shows for more info.

Just a friendly reminder to our website fans out there, we also have a number of other portals through which you can enjoy and show your support for the enigmatic BAWF. These include Myspace, Facebook, YouTube, Reverb Nation, Last.fm, Tunecore, and newly, Twitter. Check ‘em out!

As long as you’re rockin’, we are too.

XOXO,

-BAWF

Pictures from last weekend at Red Hare!

Hey BAWFers! We had a great time playing in at the Red Hare in Astoria this past weekend, and we’re all looking forward to going back on April 25th with the (yet untitled) new album in hand. Red Hare owner Scott Docherty was nice enough to post a handful photos from our Feb. 20th performance at Flickr. Check them out with full links below:

Scott was also kind enough to record the entire performance, so we’ll hopefully have audio for you all sometime in the future. Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you this Friday at Slim’s in St. John’s (Portland!) this Friday, Feb. 27th at 9:30pm. No cover, 21+.  Cheers!
